New Motor Vehicle Dealers Act (MVDA) in Effect:
Building Confidence and Dealer Professionalism

New Disclosure Requirements for Vehicle Dealers

Effective January 1, 2010, the new Motor Vehicle Dealers Act (MVDA) requires dealers to provide more information to customers when selling a vehicle, especially in advertisements and contracts. Under certain circumstances, a consumer may be able to cancel a contract if disclosure requirements aren't met.

Dealers: The new MVDA affects many areas of vehicle sales.
Make sure you're aware of your obligations under the new legislation.

Building Confidence in Our Industry

Confidence in the industry will grow if dealers know what they are selling and consumers know what they are buying. The new MVDA is a step to enhance the reputation of Ontario's registered vehicle dealers.
